Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Chi of Psi Upsilon ("Chi of Psi Upsilon," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information for the members-only alumni portal at www.xpsiupsilon.com. The site exists solely to serve the alumni of the Chi chapter of Psi Upsilon at Cornell University. It is not a commercial service and is not open to the general public.
Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to verify membership and operate the portal: your name, class year, email address, and — if you choose phone sign-in — your mobile phone number. Members may optionally add profile details (such as company, title, city, and lineage). We also keep basic sign-in logs.
How we use your information
- To verify that you are a brother and grant access to the members-only portal.
- To send you a one-time login verification code by email or SMS when you request one.
- To operate alumni features (directory, lineage, events, and chapter communications).
SMS / mobile information — no sharing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services (such as our messaging provider for the sole purpose of delivering your verification code) is permitted. All other use-case categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you opt in to phone sign-in, we send a one-time login verification code via SMS. Message frequency varies (typically one message per login attempt). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Opting out of SMS does not remove your membership — you can still sign in by email. See our SMS Terms for full details.
How we protect your information
Member data is stored in access-controlled systems and transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Contact details are hidden from other members by default and are only shown if you choose to share them.
Data retention & your choices
We retain member information for as long as you are part of the alumni community. You may request correction or deletion of your information, or opt out of SMS, at any time by contacting us.
